Doja Cat Tempe Concert reviews
Buddy Guy is indeed "The Guy"!
We, the audience, were alternately praised for our knowledge, limited as it was, of the blues in general, scolded for not knowing some of the lyrics, and given a well-delivered history lesson of the genre. My friend and I will not forget this experience - consider this a museum moment, a life changer. It takes one's breath away in a live environment, knowing your voice is horrible, you sing along loudly - yet the feeling to shout starts in the toes and bursts from the mouth - no control. There are no inadequate words in which to describe the experience of this blues legend. We were told the blues were not always happy, they were real-life which meant they could be sad as well. Thank you Mr. Guy.
